말씀을 배우는 환경을 조성하는 A Space for God's Word
벤과 제인은 제주 월비 캠퍼스에서 시설 관리와 사역 지원을 통해, 학생과 캠퍼들이 하나님의 말씀에 온전히 집중할 수 있는 환경을 만들어 가고 있습니다. Ben and Jane serve at WOLBI Jeju in facility maintenance and ministry support, creating a distraction-free environment so students and campers can focus fully on the Word of God.

선교사 Missionaries 벤 Ben
제주 월비는 학생들이 하나님의 말씀을 배우기에 적합한 환경을 갖추는 것을 목표로 합니다. 저의 사역은 캠퍼스와 건물을 유지 관리하여 학생과 캠퍼 모두가 방해 없이 말씀 학습에 집중할 수 있는 환경을 만드는 것입니다. 말씀을 공부하는 동안 집중력을 잃는 원인을 사전에 해소하는 것이 저의 역할입니다. 저는 교회에 다니며 하나님에 대해 배우면서 자랐고, 14살 때 믿음을 고백하기도 했습니다. 그러나 성경학교에 다니기 직전에야 비로소 말씀과 성품을 통해 그리스도를 드러내는 삶이 어떤 것인지를 깨닫게 되었습니다. 2년간의 성경학교를 마친 후, 사역의 부르심을 따라 제주 월비에서 해외 사역자로 섬기게 되었습니다. 그곳에서 월비에서 배운 제자 훈련, 전도, 리더십을 하나님 나라를 위해 실천하고 있습니다.
Word of Life Jeju seeks to provide an environment adequate for the learning of the Word of God. My responsibilities include providing a distraction-free environment for students and campers alike by maintaining the campus and buildings in a way that supports focused study, therefore alleviating the cause for the loss of focus while studying the Word. I grew up attending church and learning about God, and I even made a profession of faith when I was 14. It was not until just before I attended the Bible Institute that I realized what it looked like to follow Christ in a way that allowed others to see Him through your work and character. After attending the Bible Institute for two years, I followed the call into ministry, serving overseas at Word of Life Jeju — where I can put the things I learned at Word of Life, such as discipleship, evangelism, and leadership, to the test serving the Kingdom.
제인 코흘러 Jane Koehler
하나님께서는 그분의 사랑하시는 아들로 말미암아 저를 어둠의 왕국에서 그분의 나라로 구원해 주셨습니다. 예수님과 그분의 말씀을 믿기 때문에 이것을 압니다. 고등학교를 졸업한 후 뉴욕의 월비 성경학교에서 2년을 보내며 다양한 분야에서 사역할 기회를 얻었고, 그 과정에서 전도와 제자 훈련에 대한 사랑이 자라났습니다. 어떤 삶을 살든 예수님이 이 땅에서 마지막으로 명하신 것, 곧 모든 민족을 제자로 삼으라는 명령을 따르고 싶었습니다. 성경학교 2년차가 끝날 무렵, 한국 제주에 있는 월비 캠퍼스에서 인턴으로 섬길 기회가 주어졌습니다. 이 기회는 타인을 섬기고 제자를 삼는 일을 계속할 수 있는 최적의 자리였습니다.
God saved me out of the Kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom because of His beloved Son, and I know this because I believe in Jesus and what He has said. After I graduated high school, I attended two years at the Word of Life Bible Institute in New York, where I had many opportunities to minister in different areas, which is where I grew in my love for evangelism and discipleship. I knew that whatever I was going to do with my life, I wanted to follow Jesus' last command He gave on earth: to go and make disciples of all nations. At the end of my second year at the Bible Institute, I was presented with an opportunity to minister at the Word of Life Bible Institute campus in Jeju, South Korea as an intern, which is the perfect opportunity for me to continue serving others and making disciples.
