주님의 인도하심을 따라 한국으로 Following the Lord's Leading to Korea
에스텔은 월코의 론칭(Launch) 프로그램을 통해 한국에 왔습니다. 2024년 가을과 겨울의 단기선교를 마친 후, 2025년 가을에 다시 돌아와 그리스도 안에서 발견한 소망을 한국 청년들과 나누고 있습니다. Estelle came to Korea through the Launch program with Word of Life. Following a short-term mission in the fall and winter of 2024, she returned again in the fall of 2025 to share the hope found in Christ with Korean youth.

인턴 Intern 수이 에스텔 Estelle Sooy
저는 평생을 믿음으로 살아왔지만, 2021년 3월 성령님께서 저를 내 자신의 끝으로 이끌어 주셨습니다. 더 이상 나의 힘으로 이 삶을 살 수 없음을 깨닫고 예수님께 제 삶을 다스려 달라고, 제 마음의 왕이 되어달라고 구했습니다. 저는 혼자서는 이 삶을 살 수 없었기 때문입니다. 오직 그분의 사랑과 은혜로만 저는 아버지 하나님 앞에 나아가 "보세요 - 저는 주님의 것입니다. 주님의 성령이 저에게 이루신 일을 보세요"라고 말할 수 있습니다. 그 이후 여러 해 동안 주님은 저에게 나의 힘이 아닌 그분을 의지하고, 그분의 축복과 그분의 때와 그분의 계획을 신뢰하는 법을 가르쳐주셨습니다. 저는 모든 것에 대한 두려움을 그분께 내맡기고, 2025년 가을 2년간 한국에 오는 여정을 통해 그분을 온전히 신뢰하는 법을 배우고 있습니다. 한국의 청년들의 마음과 전국의 교회들 속에서 그분께서 행하시는 일을 보게 될 생각에 정말 기쁩니다!
I have been a believer all my life, but the Holy Spirit brought me to the end of myself in March 2021. I could no longer do this life in my own strength and asked the Lord Jesus to reign in my life, to be the King of my heart for I could not do this life alone. It is only by His love and grace that I can come to the Father and say, "Look - I am Yours, look what your Holy Spirit has done in me." In the years since then, the Lord has been teaching me to depend on Him and not on my own strength and to lean into His blessings, His timing, and His plan for my life. I am learning to surrender my fears (of everything) to Him and completely trust Him through the journey to come to South Korea in Fall of 2025 for 2 years. I am so excited to be able to see what He is doing in the hearts of the youth in South Korea and in the churches around the country!

- 이 캠프에 참석할 청년들을 위해 기도해 주세요. 그들의 마음이 격려받고 예수님과 함께 다음 단계로 나아가기를 원합니다!
- 또한 제가 계속해서 한국어를 배울 수 있도록, 그리고 배울 수 있는 기회가 주어지며 잘 배울 수 있도록 기도해 주시기 바랍니다. :)
- Praise for all the opportunities the Lord is preparing for us to do! (Eph. 2:10)
- Please be praying for our summer camps and mission trips in July and August 2026.
- Pray for the for the youth who will be attending these camps: that their hearts will be encouraged and that they will take their next step with Jesus!
- Also, please be praying for me to continue to be able to learn Korean and for opportunities to do so and to do it well. :)
