Peter는 3대째 신앙을 이어 온 장로교 가정에서 태어났습니다. 어린 시절부터 어머니와 함께 새벽기도를 드리는 복된 환경 속에서 자랐지만, 청소년기에 수많은 고민과 질문이 밀려왔습니다. 더 나은 사람이 되려 애썼지만 마음의 공허함은 채워지지 않았고, 결국 극단적인 선택을 시도할 만큼 한계에 이르게 되었습니다. 고등학교 1학년 여름, 간절한 마음으로 참석한 수련회에서 하나님께서는 그에게 응답하셨습니다. 강사님의 말씀을 통해 자신이 죄로 인해 마땅히 죽을 수밖에 없는 존재임을 깨닫고, 믿음으로 그리스도를 구주로 영접하였습니다. 그날은 그의 삶에서 가장 행복한 날, 삶의 목적을 비로소 발견한 날이었습니다. Miriam은 믿지 않는 가정에서 태어났습니다. 기독교 사학인 중학교에서 학교 예배와 종교 활동에 참여하게 되었지만, 처음에는 의무적인 참여에 불과했습니다. 고등학교 2학년 여름, 서울 불광동 한국기독교수양관(KCCG)에서 열린 수련회에서 예수님을 인격적으로 만나는 놀라운 은혜를 경험하였습니다. 한국의 많은 청소년들이 그리스도인 친구들의 삶과 증언을 통해 복음을 듣게 되는 것, 그것이 두 사람이 품고 있는 간절한 비전입니다.

Peter was born into a third-generation Presbyterian family. From childhood he was shaped by the blessing of attending early morning prayers with his mother, yet as a teenager he was overwhelmed by doubts and unanswered questions. Despite striving to become a better person, the emptiness within him persisted — until he reached a point of despair and attempted to take his own life. The summer of his freshman year of high school, God answered him at a retreat he attended with a desperate heart. Through the speaker's message he understood that he deserved death because of his sin, and by faith he received Christ as his Savior. That day became the happiest of his life — the day he finally discovered his purpose. Miriam was born into a non-Christian home. In middle school she began attending chapel services and religious activities at a Christian private school, though at first her participation was no more than an obligation. The summer of her sophomore year of high school, she experienced a remarkable encounter with Jesus at a retreat held at the Korea Christian Conference Ground (KCCG) in Bulgwang-dong, Seoul. Their shared vision is to see many young Koreans hear the gospel through the lives and testimonies of their Christian peers.
