청소년에게 복음을 전하다 Bringing the Gospel to the Next Generation

저는 어머니와 함께 교회를 다니며 자랐고, 아버지는 교회에 나가지 않으셨지만 제가 가는 것을 막은 적은 없었습니다. 저는 항상 주일학교, 수련회, 캠프, 그 외 여러 행사에 참여했고, 교회는 제 삶의 일부가 되었습니다. 하나님을 믿었고 예수님이 누구신지 알았지만, 구원을 받는 방법은 행위를 통해서라고 생각했습니다. 고등학교 때 아버지가 그리스도를 영접하시고 복음을 나누기 시작하셨습니다. 아버지는 항상 차 안에서 복음 오디오 메시지를 들으셨고, 그것을 통해 저는 반복해서 그 메시지에 노출되었습니다. 그때 처음으로 구원은 오직 예수님을 믿는 믿음을 통한 은혜로 주어진다는 것을 깨달았습니다. 그 진리를 이해했을 때 기쁨을 느꼈지만, 예수님을 따르고 싶은 마음이 있었음에도 제 삶은 여전히 나 자신 중심이었습니다. 저는 세상의 기준과 제 자신의 욕망을 자주 따랐습니다. 월코(Word of Life Korea)의 SYME(영어 청소년 사역 학교)에 참여하면서 변화가 시작되었습니다. 그곳에서 하나님의 말씀을 깊이 공부하며 죄의 심각성과 복음의 아름다움을 이해하기 시작했습니다. 하나님의 은혜에 대한 지식이 자라면서, 그 은혜를 다른 사람들과 나누고 싶은 열망도 커져갔습니다.

I grew up going to church with my mother, and although my father did not go to church, he never stopped me from going. I always participated in Sunday school, retreats, camps, and other events, and church became a part of my life. I believed in God and knew who Jesus was, but I thought the way to receive salvation was through works. When I was in high school, my father accepted Christ and began sharing the Gospel. He always listened to gospel audio messages in the car, and through that, I was repeatedly exposed to the message. That was when I first understood that salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus alone. When I came to understand that truth, I felt joy, but despite my desire to follow Jesus, my life was still centered on myself. I often followed the standards of the world and my own desires. Things changed when I joined SYME (School of Youth Ministry in English) at Word of Life Korea. There, I studied God's Word deeply and began to understand the seriousness of sin and the beauty of the gospel. As I grew in my knowledge of God's grace, I also felt a growing desire to share that grace with others.
