어렸을 때부터 교회를 다니며 자란 현지는 하나님을 믿었고 예수님이 누구신지도 알았지만, 구원받으려면 선한 일을 반드시 해야 한다고 생각했습니다. 고등학교 때 아버지의 복음 전도 훈련을 통해 구원은 선행이 아니라 오직 예수님을 믿는 믿음으로 주시는 하나님의 선물임을 깨달았습니다. 2021년 영어를 배우기 위해 참여한 SYME 제자훈련 프로그램을 통해 삶이 진정으로 변화되기 시작했습니다. 성경을 깊이 배우면서 복음이 얼마나 아름다운지 보게 되었고, 제주와 뉴욕의 성경 신학교를 거치며 하나님의 더 크고 놀라운 사랑과 자비를 경험하였습니다. 특히 방황하고 길을 잃은 청소년들을 향한 특별한 마음을 주셨고, 지금은 하나님이 부르신 곳에서 복음을 전하고 예수님의 사랑을 비추는 삶을 살아가고 있습니다.
Ella grew up attending church from an early age and believed in God and knew who Jesus was — yet she thought that doing good works was necessary to be saved. In high school, through her father's evangelism training, she came to understand that salvation is not earned by good deeds but is a gift from God received through faith in Jesus alone. In 2021 she joined the SYME discipleship program to improve her English, and it was there that her life truly began to change. As she studied the Bible more deeply, she saw how beautiful the gospel is, and through Bible institutes in Jeju and New York she experienced the even greater and more wonderful love and mercy of God. God gave her a particular heart for young people who are wandering and lost, and today she lives to proclaim the gospel and reflect the love of Jesus wherever He has called her.
