저는 기독교 가정에서 자랐습니다. 아버지는 목회자이셨고, 이후에는 미 육군 군목으로 섬기셨습니다. 제가 일곱 살이던 1992년, 독일에서 살고 있을 때 부모님께서 제게 복음을 전해 주셨습니다. 성경이 말하는 양자 됨의 메시지는 제 마음을 강하게 붙들었고, 1992년 4월 5일 아버지께 세례를 받았습니다. 저는 은혜의 중요성과 죄의 위험을 배워 왔습니다. 모든 이해를 뛰어넘는 평강이 있다는 것을, 그리고 우리에게 소망을 주시는 하나님이 계시다는 것을 알게 되었습니다. 저는 사람들이 우리가 그리스도 안에서 가진 소망을 알게 되기를 바랍니다. 저희에게는 다섯 자녀가 있습니다. 로랄린 베스, 폴 마이클, 에스텔 제인, 메이 릴리아나, 그리고 다니엘 리 서준입니다. 하나님께서는 제게 보호자이자 정원사의 역할이라는 거룩한 부르심을 주셨습니다. 세상의 어둠으로부터 우리 가정을 지키고, 어린 마음들 속에 심긴 진리의 씨앗을 돌보며, 언젠가 그것이 뿌리내릴 날을 기다리는 일입니다.
I grew up with Christian parents. My father was a pastor and later a chaplain in the US Army. My parents shared the gospel with me when I was 7 years old in 1992, living in Germany. The Bible's message of adoption compelled me, and I was baptized on 5 April, 1992 by my dad. I have learned the importance of grace and the danger of sin. There is a peace that passes all understanding. There is a God who has given us hope. I want people to know about the hope that we have in Christ, that one day all things will be made new. We have five children, Loralyn Beth, Paul Michael, Estelle Jane, Mae Liliana and Daniel Lee Seojun. God has given me a sacred calling to the roles of guardian and gardener, protecting our home from the darkness of the world and nurturing seeds of truth in little hearts, waiting for the day they take root.
