환규는 대한민국에서 태어나고 자랐습니다. 어머니는 그리스도와 개인적인 관계를 맺고 계셨지만, 아버지는 불교적 영향 속에서 성장하셨습니다. 온 가족이 매주 교회에 출석했지만, 구원에 대한 확신은 늘 흐릿했습니다. 21세에 군 복무를 시작했고, 제대 후 어머니의 소개로 SYME에 참석하게 되었습니다. 그곳에서 한 선교사님을 통해 복음을 들었습니다. 예수 그리스도께서 죽으시고 부활하심으로 그분과 관계를 맺을 수 있는 길이 열렸다는 것, 구원은 행위로 얻는 것이 아니라 값없이 주어지는 선물임을 처음으로 분명히 이해하게 되었습니다. 씬띠아는 미국 펜실베이니아 북동부에서 자랐습니다. 아버지가 목사님이셨기에 늘 교회 활동의 중심에 있었지만, 여섯 살 때, 여름 성경학교에서 복음을 처음으로 온전히 듣고 이해하게 되었습니다. 아홉 살 때, 아동전도협회 캠프에서 아시아 사역에 대해 이야기하는 선교사님의 간증을 들으며 아시아를 향한 소명이 마음에 자리 잡기 시작했습니다. 지금 환규는 한국에서 주님을 섬기며, 씬띠아와 두 아들 Zayn, Noah와 막내딸 노엘과 함께 한국에서 주님을 섬기고 있습니다.

Hwan-Kyu was born and raised in South Korea. His mother had a personal relationship with Christ, but his father grew up with a Buddhist influence. The whole family attended church every Sunday, yet assurance of salvation was never clear to him. At 21, he began his mandatory military service. After finishing his service, his mother encouraged him to attend SYME. It was there that a missionary shared the gospel with him. For the first time, he clearly understood that Christ had died and risen to make a way for him to have a personal relationship with God — and that salvation is a free gift, not something earned. Cynthia grew up in northeastern Pennsylvania. With a pastor for a father, she was always at the center of church life. At six years old, during Vacation Bible School, she heard and truly grasped the gospel for the first time. At nine, at a Child Evangelism Fellowship camp, she heard a missionary speak about ministry in Asia — and something stirred in her heart. She rejoices that God has directed both her life and her husband's to bring them back to South Korea, where they now serve the Lord together with their three children — sons Zayn and Noah, and their youngest daughter Noelle.
